It does seem reasonable from a academic perspective and with the context of race as culture From a psychological perspective and racial idenity development and resolution, race is examined as the psychological connection that individual has with their race (or skin color) and the developmental process for comng to resolution of that process. This is more closely aligned with DiAngelo's assertion that there is no positive white identity and one that I think is flawed based on what we know about human behavior and identity.

For example there are whites who are cuturally black (or Asian or Native American or Latin) and blacks who may be culturally white. I see cultural race as different from racial identity.
