Thanks...I think you got the point of the article. Frienships are more complicated than we think and we act out of our multiple and intersecting identities as humas, so even as a black woman in my friendships with whites I do not want to be pointing out racial occurrences all the time. That is what would make the friendship exhausting. So, I pick and choose battles. Now that my white friends are getting more enlightened our friendships are also becoming more real and strengthened.
