Thanks, Zuva! I think you will love Kendi's work. Stamped from the Beginning was a powerful read for me and I really like How to Be an Antiracist. Yes, we are on the same page and yes, from a structural perspective we just don't have the power to dismantle the social, political, economic and political systems that maintain racism. However, we all have personal power and in the U.S. it has been evident in the way that #BlackLivesMatter has made some real inroads around the globe, especially since the murder of George Floyd. As we commemorate the passing of civil rights icon, John Lewis, we are starting to see people using their personal power to rename the bridge from a Alabama KKK leader to John Lewis. Whites in the U.S. and in Canada (I do not work outside of these countries) tend to work from a fear model and are concerned (understandably so) that BIPOC do not want justice but revenge. Some may want revenge...my experience say that it is few and the majority want to live in an inclusive society mutually beneficial to us all, yet hard to achieve. Thanks for your advocacy.
